2025 Summer Employees & Interns

This summer were lucky enough to have extra help at the tree shed! We had 1 summer intern, which was Christian Flanders. Thank you for such a great summer, we couldn't have done it without you! If you're interested in being an intern or employee we'll be hiring again in the Spring of 2026, we would love to have you!

Here to help

Do you have ideas? Bring your ideas to us! Our favorite place is in the field working side by side with you! Conservation implementation is an important step in our process and we are here to dig in a shovel and get it done! We can also help you purchase trees that grow in your soil type, along with planting trees in field windbreaks or on your farmstead. We also help with planting projects along your riverbank or floodplain, and much more!

Our Vison

Over the past few months we've created goals for ourselves that will change the game of conservation. First, we are aiming to educate the public and to give more educational oportunities to students regarding conservation. This would include hosting more outreach programs and inviting students from around the country to work with us in beautiful North Dakota. Second, we want to build stronger connections between ourselves and local farmers, agriculture agencies, and the like. We want to create a solid future for conservation in North Dakota through these goals we are excited to see them to fruition.

Our Purpose

As a political subdivision of the State, we represent Walsh County as the local voice in conservation issues, including proposed projects that may impact residents of the county. We work with residents, local officials, as well as state and federal entities to accomplish the best possible life for those living here now and in the future generations. We initiate programs to assist in the needs of the land and the people living on it. Regenerative agriculture is our future. We are living in a pivotal moment in conservation locally.
